[…] – Alles, was dazwischen passiert is a live-electronics performance that invites the audience to experience the passage of time through sound. The mundane soundscape of a waiting area is filtered through a thermos flask and mixed with amplified, audience-generated waiting sounds – such as solving a crossword puzzle, breathing, or playing a memory game.
The performance is tied to the waiting space between two platforms at a railway station and reflects its wonderful rhythm of incidental noise: passing trains, trolleys, and announcements.
Designed to last two to three hours, travellers become part of both the audience and the soundscape. Experiencing the full performance is not expected.
[…] – Alles, was dazwischen passiert reclaims the so-called “empty time” of waiting and sets a gentle counterpoint in environments dominated by pressure to be efficient, functional, and productive.
