SpaceCurveStudio explores the potentials of Mixed Reality technologies for design and fabrication. It creates an Augmented Reality enabled workflow stretching from capture over design and simulation to manufacturing as well as developing a virtual upgrade of low-tech machinery. A retrofitted handrail for an existing staircase is designed based on site scans, user tracking and manual design decisions and bent from steel piping with the help of a virtually augmented hydraulic bending machine.
