“Während wir schlafen, ziehen Wölfe um die Häuser” (Eng.: “While we sleep, wolves roam around the houses”) is a search for clues between dry swamps, gnawed symbols, garden fences and abandoned factories from GDR times – a photographic collection of stories about people who enter into a fictional relationship with wolves, as well as places that have been touched by the wolf or are perceived by humans as “touched by the wolf”. Among others, there is the story about two children who build a trap to lure in the wolves, that are threatened with being shot, onto their parents’ farm and the story about a man who lives with his dog “Mrs. Wolf”, who came to him by a twist of fate.
