Closing event: “Housing: An Archive”, Wednesday, March 20th
You are warmly invited to the closing event: “Housing: An Archive” Notes on Experimental Research and Teaching in Urban Studies
Wednesday, March 20th, 18.00 - 19.30
Amalienstraße 13, Room 003, 99423 Weimar
Presentation and discussion by Jun. Prof. Daniela Zupan, and Galyna Sukhomud, and short film screening “Feminist Housing Archive” by Sophie Erman and Viola Majdandzic
Supported by The Bauhaus Learning Space, “Housing: An Archive” has been a teaching and research project that focused on exploring multimodal-anthropological, hybrid, and artistic research methods in dealing with housing materialities as embedded in societal processes of sense and meaning-making. Within the projects and the seminar “Housing: An Archive”, students experimented with different formats such as photography, desktop cinema, 3-D scanning, clay, and sound working on socio-material histories of their housing objects. The closing event will be dedicated to a short presentation of the project's results and critical reflection on experimental research and teaching within urban studies.
The event will be closed with a short film “Feminist Housing Archive” about the women’s center in Weimar by Sophie Erman and Viola Majdandzic and an informal exchange over drinks.
