#EURegionsWeek: Sustainable, inclusive and beautiful urban areas – how can the New European Bauhaus boost the holistic green transition?
Bei der #EURegionsWeek hat Jun.-Prof. Dr. Daniela Zupan, Juniorprofessur European Cities and Urban Heritage am Institut für Europäische Urbanistik, mit weiteren Expertinnen und Experten aus anderen europäischen Städten über die Frage "Sustainable, inclusive and beautiful urban areas – how can the New European Bauhaus boost the holistic green transition?" diskutiert. Dabei ging es um das Neue Europäische Bauhaus (New European Bauhaus = NEB) und dessen Ansatz, Nachhaltigkeit mit Design zu verbinden und den European Green Deal für die Allgemeinheit greifbar zu machen. Dabei behandelte der Workshop innovative Beispiele, welche mit einem ganzheitlichen Ansatz auf die Bedürfnisse von Bürgerinnen und Bürger eingehen. Zudem wurde untersucht, wie das NEB städtischen Gebieten dabei helfen kann, ihren eigenen Wandel zu mehr Nachhaltigkeit voranzutreiben und die Werte des Neuen Europäischen Bauhauses lokal zu integrieren: Nachhaltigkeit, Schönheit und Inklusivität.
Drei Studierende des Masterstudiengangs European Urban Studies haben dabei während der Veranstaltung in Form eines Kurzvideos ihre Ideen über "How they want to live in a sustainable city" vorgetragen.

The New European Bauhaus (NEB) seeks to match sustainability with style and to bring the European Green Deal to people's living places.
During the #EURegionsWeek, Jun.-Prof. Dr. Daniela Zupan discussed with other experts the question of "Sustainable, inclusive and beautiful urban areas – how can the New European Bauhaus boost the holistic green transition?".
The workshop brought together actors from European cities to exchange inspiring examples of holistic design that respond to citizens' needs. The talk explored further how the NEB can help urban areas to boost their green transition and to integrate the values of the New European Bauhaus: sustainability, beauty and inclusivity.
During the event, three students from the Master's programme European Urban Studies presented their views about the question "How they want to live in a sustainable city?" in form of a short film.
