Es geht um Stadtstruktur und städtischen Raum, um die Geschichte der Stadt, Aspekte von Öffentlichkeit und Privatheit, die Bedeutung des öffentlichen Raums und die vielfältige und großartige Kultur des Städtischen. Die Vorlesung führt in das Repertoire des Städtebaus ein und erklärt Methoden der Stadtwahrnehmung. Alle Themen verbinden sich direkt oder indirekt mit der Frage, wie städtebauliches Entwerfen funktioniert und was es vom Entwurf im Gebäudemaßstab unterscheidet.
Introduction to urban design
The weekly lecture deals with the basic principles of the city and urban planning. It is about urban structure and urban space, the history of the city, aspects of the public and private spheres, the importance of public space and the diverse and magnificent culture of the urban. The lecture provides a basic understanding of city and countryside, introduces the repertoire of urban planning and explains methods of urban perception. However, all topics are directly or indirectly linked to the question of how urban planning design works, what paths there are from the white sheet to the finished design, what tricks, references and methods.
