The Bauhaus Form and Function Lab (BFFL) facilitates the research of innovative haptic interfaces and functional prototypes for digital applications and services.
The lab is internationally unique in its hybridization of modern additive and subtractive manufacturing tools for the production of two- and three-dimensional objects with emerging technologies such as printed electronics and 3D Molded Interconnect Devices, bridging physical form and digital function.
Supporting research work in the context of interdisciplinary projects with partners in the areas of electronics production, printing technologies, informatics, chemistry and materials science, the lab also provides a platform for the development of emerging design and research talent at the graduate and doctoral levels.
