Naomi T. Salmon, Zürich
If Bauhaus would be a movement, then three colors and three forms would surely serve as its symbolic trappings. A cult tendency has taken form over the decades, and lives independently in our media and object saturated culture. Everywhere we look, we can see a circle, a square and a triangle, combinations of red yellow and blue are all around us.
The artist Naomi Tereza Salmon has been obsessed with objects and photographing them since years. She studied and taught at the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar over a decade, created several works concerning this topic and collected appearances of the phenomenon. She will show and discuss a mix of art and product, take away and souvenir, original and copy, appropriation and adoption, alongside some tips and tricks on how to stay a critical artist in times of late capitalism.
