Description: In 1969, Michel Foucault published his seminal book on the “Archaeology of Knowledge.” Up until today, this book is widely read as an introduction to discourse analysis as the key method of Foucault’s historical work. This seminar offers a close reading of Foucault’s book aiming at positioning it in the context of current debates about the digital humanities. It is open to students from all disciplines, in particular media studies and computer science but also media art and design, media architecture, etc. The seminar will be held in English.
