InfAR at eCAADe 2022

Several members of InfAR presented research and projects at the 40th eCAADe conference in Ghent, Belgium. Our research addressed themes of Urban Data, Virtual Reality, Digital Pedagogy, and Spatial Analysis.

From the 13th - 16th of September, InfAR members Abdulmalik Abdulmawla, Ekaterina Fuchkina, Grayson Bailey, Husain Vaghjipurwala, and Sven Schneider presented research in the form of lectures and exhibition projects. Abdulmalik Abdulmawla presented the paper “Parametric Urban Data Structure and Spatial Query”during the Data-driven Urban Design session.

Ekaterina Fuchkina presented the paper “Space Matcher – An interactive toolbox for assisting in spatializing & testing office programmes using graph centralities“ during the Performance-based Design session.

Grayson Bailey presented the paper “Performing Immersive Virtual Environment User Studies with VREVAL”during the XR for Design Evaluation session.

Sven Schneider presented the paper “Supernormal – Virtual Reality based user studies in the architectural design studio” during the Design Teaching and Learning session.

Finally, Husain Vaghjipurwala exhibited the film project “The Distributed Collective” (in cooperation with Scott Lloyd, Nemanja Zimonjic, Reinhard Koenig, and Martin Bielik) as a part of the Johan Verbeke International Exhibition.
