Selected student work from Parametric Urban Design and Analysis Seminar

Our students are doing excellent job after six weeks of first time using parametric modelling.

The definition of urban form (street network, plots, buildings) is crucial in planning cities because it has the longest-lasting effect on their social, economic, and ecological performance. In this course, we deal with computational methods to support this process. This is the result of the first part, where students learn to create parametric models that allow the generation of many design variants quickly. In the coming stage, they will be introduced to spatial analysis methods (density, visibility, and accessibility) to identify the generated urban forms' different (human-centred) qualities.
