This new format, which works smaller and more focussed, took place for the first time in July 2013. Altogether 18 young academics of the Bauhaus University and the partner universities of Alexandria, Amman, Gaza and, for the first time, also Istanbul participated in the experimental format, with the programmatic contents developed online together in a participatory process. The participants could present and discuss their own work and familiarize with different topics, including a “theme day” on methodology and theory of science, on artistic approaches and on “heritage”, destruction, reconstruction and conversion on each of the five tightly packed days of the program offering enough space for presentations, reading, group work and, particularly, numerous interesting discussions. The closing excursion to Dresden gave many opportunities to apply the theoretical knowledge on the basis of a concrete place with a changeable development of urban building in past and present.
