In 2016, the Professorship for the Theory and History of Design was inaugurated at the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar. Led by Prof. Willmann, the focus lies upon novel, interdisciplinary approaches of design theory and history. Main research areas are emergent practices and discourses of contemporary design cultures, and the history of media and information technology.
