Curci & Heuman will share a live sonic space built with shruti box, radios, field recordings, and synthesized textures, inviting participants to lie down and drift. They will discuss how rhythm operates not only in movement and sound but also in the subtle flows of sleep, imagination, and shared vulnerability. What happens when we attune to each other through rest rather than productivity?
Florencia Curci and Tatiana Heuman developed the “Siestaria” together. They began their sonic journey as drummers in the underground of experimental music in Buenos Aires Argentina. They met improvising and playing together. Curci and Heuman have come together multiple times to work in different constellations such as the transfeminist sound platform #VIVAS and the current project Siestaria, dedicated to navigating crises through rest, caring and listening to dreams. The “Siestaria” has been shown at HKW Berlin (DE), CASo (AR), and Festival Tsonami (CL) among others.
The “Siestaria” is not a performance, but an invitation to pause together and tune into altered states.

‘Sonic Talks’ is a new series of events organised by the chairs of ‘Experimental Radio’ and ‘Acoustic Ecologies and Sound Studies’ at the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar. They tie in with the topics of the semester. In the 2025 summer semester, the ‘Sonic Talks’ will focus on rhythm, sound and healing.
