Prof. Martin Hesselmeier

We design, develop and implement interfaces and applications that enable and facilitate access to the digital world in interactive, networked and physical environments.

The ubiquitous availability of digital services and information demands adequate design concepts for the corresponding interfaces. The design and evaluation of Human Machine Interactions, Tangible Media and the Internet of Things are therefore central areas addressed by our group.

Our research focus includes:

  • Interactive Art
  • Physical, Tangible Computing
  • Spatial Interaction
  • Architectural Interfaces
  • 2D/3D Prototyping & Printed Electronics
  • UX/UI/Screen-based Interfaces
  • Mobile, Location-based & Web Applications
