16.4 Presentation and conversation evening with representatives of the Medea Lab at Malmö University
At the beginning of the summer semester, representatives of the »Medea Lab« of the School of Arts and Communication at Malmö University will visit the Faculty of Art and Design. At the invitation of the Professorship »Acoustic Ecologies and Sound Studies«, a presentation evening with an exchange of ideas on the research project »Tender Time« will take place on Tuesday, 16 April at 7 pm, to which interested parties are cordially invited.

Medea Lab, Malmö University, is a transdisciplinary collective of researchers and artists who address cultural and societal challenges through experiments, installations and interventions. Established in 2009, recent projects have dealt with topics such as interstellar space exploration, artificial creativity, the politics of listening, hauntology, collaborative song writing, and transmedia storytelling.
Tender Time is a collaborative artistic research project conducted by the Medea Lab, Malmö University, Sweden. Taking the Voyager space mission and its Golden Record as a point of departure, Medea Lab invites you to explore the vulnerabilities that continue to haunt our current moment of continuous planetary crisis, our own tender time. Presented as a multimedia installation at Time Space Existence in Venice (May 2023 – November 2023), Tender Time includes an immersive video projection, an original soundscape composition, a single screen video narrative, printed material with augmented reality experience and a bespoke book designed to collect the written regrets of visitors.
