Invitation to the award ceremony of the Lyonel Kunstpreis 2024 as part of the summaery
The Lyonel Kunstpreis 2024 will be awarded on Friday, 12 July 2024. The nominees are Fine Art diploma graduates Maria Fabricius-Wendt, Till Röttjer, Simon Surjasentana and Rio Usui. Interested parties are cordially invited to the exhibition opening at 5 p.m. and to the awards ceremony at 6 p.m. at Berkaer Straße 11.
The award, with which the founder, Lyonel-Verein zur Förderung von Kunst und Kultur, would like to promote young artists, is endowed with 2,000 euros in prize money. The Lyonel Kunstpreis is aimed at graduates of the Faculty of Art and Design and honours outstanding achievements in final theses.
The nominees and the award winner are selected by an expert jury. This year, renowned experts have once again been recruited: Dr Jenny Graser (Kupferstichkabinett, Berlin), Andrea Karle (Kulturstiftung Thüringen, Gotha) and Julia Rosenbaum (ROSENBAUM Art Advisory, Berlin).
The exhibition is being curated for the third time by a team from the student initiative »marke.6«.
