Introductory courses provide students the technical basics of the photographic process. Practical exercises aim to train the participants to be able to use the Workshop facilities as autonomously as possible / to work in a specialist area. After successfully completing the introduction, students are allowed to work in the Workshop independently (see also the Operating Instructions of the Faculty of Art and Design).
Introductory Courses:
General Information
Introductory courses takes place on different days at specific times set in advance by the Workshop staff. It is obligatory to attend all introductory course sessions. Dates will be published here.
The Photo Workshop organizes regular introductory courses as preparation for projects or Fach-courses during the winter semester from the beginning of November until the Christmas holidays, and in the summer semester from mid-April to the end of May. During the semester break, it is also possible to organize introductory courses in consultation with the Photo Workshop staff.
The prerequisite for working independently within an area of the photo workshop after an introductory course is an individual documentation of the contents from the introduction as well as timely and repeated application of the practices learnt in the workshop.
