PUBLISHING IN OPUS / FOR DOCTORAL CANDIDATES

Submitting your Dissertation and Academic Publishing in an Institutional Repository

BRS Workshop in cooperation with the University Library
Speakers: Dr. Frank Simon-Ritz, Dana Horch, Heidi Körner

In this course, we would like to give you some specific information about publishing your electronic dissertation or other scientific papers in an institutional repository. The university library offers to publish documents on its online publication system, OPUS Weimar. Our intention is to show you how to submit and publish your document in just a few steps. In addition, we would like to present to you the benefits of publishing in a repository, such as global visibility and access on the Internet or digital long-term archiving.

The course will also discuss varied topics: submission options, publication steps, parallel publication and permissions of publishers, Creative Commons licenses and author rights.

PARTICIPANTS:

The workshop is aimed towards all doctoral candidates of the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar.
The workshop will be taught in English.
The workshop is limited to 15 participants.
