Engineering Course »Forecast Engineering«: Experimente, Exkursionen, ERASMUS+

Since the 21st August, international students who are enthusiastic about engineering and technology have been participating in Forecast Engineering course of the Faculty of Civil Engineering as part of the Bauhaus Summer School. The focus is on intercultural exchange alongside intensive learning, project work and guest lectures from academia and practice. The two-week program ends on September 1st, 2023 with a public final presentation in lecture hall D at Marienstraße 13.

New Article in Buildings (MDPI)

The open access article "Seismic Performance Assessment of the 18th Century Jesuit College in Dubrovnik's Old City" is published as a contribution to the research project SeisRICHerCRO of the Croatian Science Foundation.

Summary 2023 (Science Mile Q3)

This year, the Chair of Complex Structures once again participated in Summaery2023 with two interesting projects in the field of earthquake engineering.

EURODYN 2023

Mr. Baban Bapir, a PhD student from the Chair of Advanced Structures, actively participated in the XII international conference on structural dynamics from July 2nd to July 6th at the Delft University of Technology.

3D laser scanning - SeisRICHerCRO

As part of the SeisRICHerCRO project, Jun. Prof. Lars Abrahamczyk and Prof. Davorin Penava (UNIOS) were able to perform 3D laser scanning of the Rector's Palace and the St. Saviour Church in the Old City of Dubrovnik (Croatia) for further evaluation and detailed investigation.

PARFORCE: Advanced Training Course 2023

The Partnership for Virtual Laboratories in Civil Engineering (PARFORCE) recently organized an advanced Ph.D. training course in applied and computational mathematics for engineering applications.
