The English-language Master's program »Natural Hazards and Risks in Structural Engineering« (NHRE) gets a brand new, easier to navigate and more user-friendly homepage.

In the TV program "Strategies for earthquake risk mitigation in Kurdistan region of Iraq", Prof. Abrahamczyk shared expert opinion on the recent Turkey-Syria earthquake and the lessons learned from SERAMAR project. M.Sc. Hasan talked about earthquake resistant design and shared experiences gained from the ongoing DAAD project at the chair.

Earthquake expert: Missed to focus on the region

Despite current building standards, Turkey is not doing enough to prevent earthquakes, says Dr. Jochen Schwarz from the Bauhaus University-Weimar in an interview with NDR Info.

In part of the research project, M.Sc. Peshawa Luqman and M.Sc. Baban Bapir went for a research stay from 25 Nov to 31. Dec 2022. The project team collected data and performed a series of field studies under the supervision of the project coordinator at the partner university in Iraq.

Apart from studies and after a two-year break, the students together with professors and research assistants in a small social gathering, exchanged views on Christmas and New Year Celebrations around the world, celebrating a successful end of the year 2022!

In part of the Eramca, the third project meeting was held in Dushanbe, Tajikistan, from 23rd to 25th of November 2022.

The joint workshop of the project 3D Lagebilder (BUW) and KAHR (subproject TU Kaiserslautern) with the support of THW took place from 9th-10th November 2022 in Bornheim (NRW).
