Visits from the Rector of TAQU
The Rector of Tashkent University of Architecture and Civil Engineering (TAQU), Professor Bakhrom Tulaganov, visited Bauhaus University Weimar on April 23rd. This brief visit primarily centered on discussions with the Executive Board and heads of the Chair of Advanced Structures and the Earthquake Damage Analysis Center (EDAC).
As part of the reception in the Presidium with the President of Bauhaus University Weimar, Prof. Peter Benz, and the Head of the International Office, Dr. Christian Kästner, the visit capitalized on the longstanding relationships with the Chair of Advanced Structures and the Earthquake Damage Analysis Center (EDAC). The discussions focused on exploring opportunities for teaching and research cooperation between the two universities, resulting in the signing of a corresponding memorandum of understanding.
During discussions with Jun. Prof. Lars Abrahamczyk and Dr.-Ing. Jochen Schwarz, the focus was on specific activities within teaching and research aimed at mitigating the impacts of natural hazards. These conversations also aimed to strengthen and expand intensive collaboration between the two universities.
