Research-related and practice-oriented teaching formats represent a focal point within the work at the Chair of Construction Chemistry and Polymer Materials. The foundations of teaching are the transfer, acquisition, and at the same time the generation of new knowledge. Thus, established on the fundamentals of construction chemistry and materials science, scientific and independent work and studies are the focus of our teaching.
The practical courses in building materials science take place in the very well-equipped laboratories of the F. A. Finger Institute at the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar. For students working on research projects and theses as well as participating in the scientific seminar, the institute offers a wide range of instrumental analytics as well as the practical and scientific expertise of the chair.
Lecture scripts and other subject-specific teaching materials are available in the respective moodle course. https://moodle.uni-weimar.de/
The supervision of Master's and Bachelor's theses is offered in the winter and summer term by the Chair of Construction Chemistry and Polymer Materials. The scientific seminar and the student research project always take place in the winter term.
