Doctoral Colloquium together with JADE University of Applied Sciences

A doctoral colloquium was held at the Bauhaus University Weimar on 14 July 2023.

The colloquium offered doctoral students from Bauhaus-Universität Weimar. Professorship of Construction Operations and Methods and the Institute for Database Oriented Design (IDoK) at Jade University of Applied Sciences had the opportunity to present their current research projects and receive valuable feedback from their colleagues and supervising professors (Prof. Dr. Jürgen Melzner, Prof. Dr. Sebastian Hollermann).

A highlight of the colloquium was the tour of the Digital Bauhaus Lab. The Digital Bauhaus Lab is a pioneering facility for the implementation of state-of-the-art technologies in building processes. The lab tour allowed participants to get an insight into innovative virtual reality technologies and Building Information Modelling (BIM).

Overall, the doctoral colloquium at Bauhaus-Universität Weimar and the tour of the Digital Bauhaus Lab was an enriching experience for all participants. The participants gained valuable insights into the future of building and were encouraged to further their research with digital innovations. Next time, the meeting will be held at the Jade University of Applied Sciences in Oldenburg and the Digital Engineering Lab (DiEng) will be visited.
