Our research focuses on numerical geotechnics, including the development of software, constitutive models, contact mechanics, and coupled finite element formulations. In the field of offshore geotechnics, We investigate installation processes and cyclic loading caused by wind and wave action. We also work on the numerical modeling of ground improvement techniques and the analysis of slope stability under seismic loading. Further areas of interest include cyclic loading in infrastructure projects and the application of particle methods to simulate large deformations.
