Excursion to the openLAB bridge in Bautzen in June 2025!

Welcome to all new students. This semester our chair offers the modules Advanced Building Information Modeling, Simulation Methods in Engineering and Digital Methods in Management.

On January 20, 2025, Felix Hermann from the company Afry gave a guest lecture on “BIM-based life cycle assessment” as part of the lecture BIM in Civil Engineering (Master of Structural Engineering).

On 13 January 2025, we had the honour of welcoming Daniel Oehler from Dr. Born – Dr. Ermel GmbH as part of the Bachelor's degree course in Management [Construction, Real Estate, Infrastructure].

The ITD was very pleased to have the opportunity to get to know the university president better and to exchange ideas with him.

This year's chair colloquium with presentations by all chair members and a guest took place in the conference rooms of Ettersburg Castle.

Current research and development topics in the field of building information modelling and digital twins were discussed at a joint meeting at Coudraystrasse 13A.

We welcome all students to the new winter semester 2024/25 at the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar. Our lectures start on 14.10.2024.

Paul-Christian Schuler and Fulya Tasliarmut presented two contributions from the openSIM research project, which deal with the data integration of information from building diagnostics, as well as a contribution from the AuCity research project on adaptive learning in engineering.

The paper titled "A Framework for Creating Georeferenced As-Is Models from 2D Railway Signalling Plans using Object Recognition" by Khaled Elhadary, Judith Krischler and Christian Koch was presented on July 4th in Vigo, Spain.
