A digital twin represents a connection between a real object and the digital world. The twin consists of a digital model that is automatically updated with data from the real world and also automatically transfers changes from the digital world to the real world. We have created such a twin. In the third and final step, we used the twin for an evacuation simulation. To do this, the geometric data was transferred to AnyLogic and a simulation of the pedestrian flow was performed. The movement of the individual people is displayed in VR. This gives the user a direct impression of what is happening during the evacuation.
