After installing several sensors and actors at the chair Intelligent Technical Design, the "Digital ITD Twin" teaching project is now starting. A true-to-detail digital twin of the chair’s facilities is to be created. This includes geometries, surfaces, furniture, sensors, the condition of objects, etc. The core of the project is an extendable open source smart home software. In student projects and final theses this software is to be extended by simulations, data visualization, AR and VR applications as well as web interfaces.
