Jun.-Prof. Dr.-Ing. Luise Göbel

Luise Göbel studied Building Materials Engineering at the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar and graduated with a Master of Science in 2014.She then successfully completed her doctorate as part of the DFG-funded Research Training Group 1462 ("Model Qualities") at the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar. As part of this work, she also spent several months researching at the Institute of Mechanics of Materials and Structures at the Vienna University of Technology.

As a postdoctoral researcher and research coordinator at the Materials Research and Testing Institute Weimar from 2018 to 2023, she focused on topics in the fields of sustainable construction and innovative experimental methods for characterizing building materials. In 2019, she also conducted research as a postdoctoral researcher in cooperation with the Université libre de Bruxelles on cement-free concretes in the INTERACT project.

On 01.04.2023, she accepted an appointment as junior professor (W1 with tenure track) in the field of "Mechanics of Materials" at the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar. From 01.01.2024, she will head the "NanoMatFutur" junior research group for the "StimuCrete" project.
