On June 28, 2023, the Institute of Structural Engineering (IKI) hosted its traditional summer party and the associated research colloquium. Around 100 guests from research, practice and administration, including President Peter Benz, took the opportunity for professional exchange and networking.
From bridges and structural monitoring to bamboo - eight young engineers gave an insight into the institute's current research topics in lecture hall D from 1 pm. Afterwards, the participants strolled together through the park on the Ilm to Villa Haar in warm summer temperatures. The scientific contributions were discussed and new ideas developed over drinks, roast meats and a great atmosphere. The event was organized by the Chair of Modelling and Simulation - Construction and the Chair of Steel and Hybrid Structures.
Impressions of the events and the agenda of the IKI doctoral colloquium can be found below. We are already looking forward to next year!
