Below you will find an overview of the experimental equipment at the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar and the Chair of Steel and Hybrid Structures.
The "Laboratory for Structural Sensor Technology and Data Analysis" is intended to support the development, validation and implementation of pioneering new concepts for structural monitoring in the long term and serve as a catalyst for the development of a wide range of research projects. The sensor laboratory is funded by the Thuringian Ministry of Economics, Science and Digital Society (TMWWDG) to the amount of 350,000 euros.
Further information can be found at here.
A laboratory (cutting, grinding, polishing, etching, light microscopy) is currently being set up at the professorship to investigate the microstructure and crystallographic features of structural steels at the microscopic level (crystallite level).

The testing facility (VTE) is an essential part of the Institute of Structural Engineering. The VTE can process research and practical tasks using state-of-the-art testing technology. The range of services extends from static and dynamic component tests to structural and load-bearing capacity investigations, as-built investigations and the monitoring of structures.
