Flying cars and robots on the steering wheel
Chair of Transport System planning participates with children's lecture on campus day.
On 18 September 2019, the Campus Day for School Classes took place within the framework of the Children's University Weimar. For the first time, the Chair of Traffic System Planning participated with a lecture for 4th and 5th classes entitled "Flying Cars and Robots on the Steering Wheel". 55 pupils wanted to find out what is wrong with traffic, whether there is friendly traffic and what the mobility of the future will look like. Dipl.-Ing. Raimo Harder showed the inquisitive listeners a target group-oriented presentation in which a small drone controlled by M.Sc. Marco Fedior was also used. M.Sc. Nicole Meyer from the Chair of Urban Energy Systems conducted an experiment with a fuel cell to illustrate the technology behind hydrogen cars. A further attraction was the cargo bike kindly provided by the city of Weimar.
