RECONSTRUCT – Forensic Structural Engineering Database and Interactive Learning

Welcome to RECONSTRUCT

Welcome to the official website of the RECONSTRUCT Project, an Erasmus+ Cooperation Partnership in Higher Education. Our mission is to revolutionize forensic structural engineering education by integrating real-world case studies with interactive and innovative learning methods.

RECONSTRUCT is a three-year initiative (2024-2027) aimed at filling the gap in forensic structural engineering education. The project develops a collaborative, blended-learning master's course, integrating:

  • Real-life structural failure cases
  • Advanced digital learning tools
  • Escape-room-based learning for interactive engagement

This initiative introduces a European-wide forensic engineering education program, incorporating:

  • Case-based learning – Using real damage scenarios from earthquakes, fires, storms, and overloading
  • Gamification techniques – Implementing virtual escape rooms and immersive learning tools
  • Cross-sector collaboration – Connecting universities, industry professionals, and forensic experts
  • International accessibility – Offering multilingual course materials

Join Us in Shaping the Future of Structural Engineering!

RECONSTRUCT is set to transform the way forensic engineering is taught and practiced. Whether you're a student, researcher, educator, or industry professional, we invite you to:

  • Explore our project
  • Participate in our courses
  • Contribute to advancing forensic structural engineering
