»I've been living and studying here in Weimar since October 2021 and have quickly settled in and made a lot of contacts thanks to the many things the university has to offer.
At the beginning of your studies, everyone has questions about what it's like in the new city and what you can do. We are here to answer your questions about looking for accommodation, everyday student life, the study programme, possible leisure activities (and much more). Feel free to send us your question via e-mail and we will help you.«

Choosing the right study program is an important decision and needs to be carefully considered. Individual interests and abilities play just as important a role as practical relevance, internationality or the reputation of the university. Often, a personal conversation with experts on site helps to get a better impression. But not every prospective student has the opportunity to travel to the university in person in advance. "That's why we decided to set up a study start infohotline for prospective students in addition to the general student counseling service and information offerings on our website," explains study advisor Birgit Bode.
The special feature: Students are on the other side to share their personal experiences with the curious and provide an authentic insight into student life in Weimar. Assistance and guidance is provided by the examination offices and subject advisors of the faculty. "The hotline advises and supports prospective students as well as applicants and newly enrolled students. The aim of the hotline is to inform inquiries regarding application requirements, study focus, study conditions, the work of the student council - especially in the context of the Faculty of Civil and Environmental Engineering - and also life in Weimar.
Deciding at short notice? At the Faculty of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Bauhaus-Universität Weimar, there are nine bachelor's and master's degree programs that you can enroll in until September 30. We will help you find out if there is a suitable study program for you.
