Information on the start of the semester

Dear students, Dear first semester students of the Faculty of Civil and Environmental Engineering,

We are pleased to welcome you to the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar to start the winter semester 2024/25 together. The lecturers of the Faculty of Civil and Environmental Engineering as well as the Dean's Office and the staff in technology, administration and the laboratories are currently preparing the start of lectures on 15 October 2024. Please refer to the timetables and the course catalogue for details of the courses. If you have any questions or uncertainties, please contact our academic advising team.

In preparation for the start of studies, the Faculty of Civil and Environmental Engineering offers an online introductory course for enrolled first semester bachelor students as well as information events for all students of the various degree programmes and different subject semesters. The enrollment key for self-enrollment in the online introductory course is »Einstieg2024«. There is an overview of all information/introductory events for the start of the semester on this page.

Information on the start of studies

Your studies are about to begin and with them a new phase in your life, for which there are a number of things to be arranged and organised. The Campus.Office will help you with questions regarding the organisation of your studies and will organise the Student Orientation Days in WiSe. This is THE event to get to know your future fellow students, make new friends, experiences and feel the Bauhaus-University Weimar as a whole.

To ensure a successful start to the semester, the Faculty of Civil and Environmental Engineering offers the online preparation course on the learning platform moodle, which focuses on the STEM subjects (Mathematics, Informatics, Natural Sciences, Technology). As a newly enrolled student, you can repeat or refresh your knowledge independently before the start of the regular lecture weeks. Various online tutorials, chat rooms, learning videos, exercises and much more have been set up for this purpose. The enrollment key »Einstieg2024« is required for self-enrollment in the online introductory course.

In order to take examinations for this semester, it is necessary for all students to register for the respective examinations. The registration period for this semester runs from 4 November 2024 to 23 January 2025. The registration in the desired examinations is done online via the bison portal. The examination period takes place at the Faculty of Civil Engineering from 17 February to 7 March 2025.
