The bachelor thesis deals with the realization of an image-based 3D reconstruction over time as a basis for an area-based motion capture system. The goal here is to capture human facial expressions as lifelike as possible. On the one hand, the focus is on the creation of an optimal sensor configuration for the synchronous, continuous acquisition and transmission of images necessary for the computation of three-dimensional object surfaces. On the other hand, various experiments are used to examine which factors are particularly relevant in the reconstruction of an animation and to what extent they influence its quality. For this purpose, a program flow is developed so that all experiments can be performed automatically under consistent conditions and subsequently evaluated.
