Research Interests

Post-Quantum Cryptography:

  • How secure are symmetric cryptographic algorithms and constructions (e.g. authenticated encryption modes) really in the post-quantum scenario?
  • Which provable basic structures and primitives can be used to model PQ-secure algorithms?
  • How can the migration from today's cryptography to PQ cryptography succeed?

Language-Based Security:

  • Further development of formal language classes "Calc-Regular" and "Calc-Context-Free" (see also: Grosch et al: Taming the Length Field in Binary Data: Calc-Regular Languages and Jakoby et al: Formal Language Theory for Practical Security.)
