Research Interests
Post-Quantum Cryptography:
- How secure are symmetric cryptographic algorithms and constructions (e.g. authenticated encryption modes) really in the post-quantum scenario?
- Which provable basic structures and primitives can be used to model PQ-secure algorithms?
- How can the migration from today's cryptography to PQ cryptography succeed?
Language-Based Security:
- Further development of formal language classes "Calc-Regular" and "Calc-Context-Free" (see also: Grosch et al: Taming the Length Field in Binary Data: Calc-Regular Languages and Jakoby et al: Formal Language Theory for Practical Security.)
