Together with the University Communications Department, the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar International Office organizes a photo competition every two years. Participation is open to international students as well as students who have studied or completed an internship abroad.
A selection of the entries submitted for the 2022 photo competition was on display in an exhibition in the university library until the end of December. The nine winning images can be viewed online.
After the restrictions of the past years, the world is beginning to open up again. Exchange programmes and internships abroad are becoming easier again. Countries that were closed off for a long time can be visited again and rediscovered. A broad range of opportunities are opening up!
For this reason, the photo competition organized by the International Office and University Communications of the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar was being held according to the slogan: »OPEN HORIZONS«. We were on the lookout for photos that, together with accompanying text, illustrate the many sides of studying abroad.
An independent jury, made up of representatives from the four faculties at the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar, the President's Office, University Communications, Institutional Development and International Office, selected 30 photographs from more than 80 submissions, which are now being shown in an exhibition in the university library. Until November 18, 2022, visitors can also choose the public favorite here.
The award ceremony for the winners determined by the jury and the audience award took place on Tuesday, November 22, 2022. Here you can see the winning pictures.
