admINT is a programme for administrative staff to support them in the internationalisation process of the university. It offers further qualification opportunities for 1) English language skills, 2) intercultural competence and 3) mobility abroad for further education purposes (Erasmus+ STT). It is open to all administrative staff in the faculties and central administration.
The admINT programme is part of the internationalisation strategy of the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar and answers to guidelines 1 (International stakeholders) and 7 (International administration). As a "model project for improving the culture of openness," admINT had been funded by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) as part of the STIBET II programme line with funds from the German Federal Foreign Office from 2015 to 2020. The programme was developed by the International Office under the direction of the president`s office and in close cooperation with the Language Centre and the Personnel Department. External partners were the Studierendenwerk Thüringen (Projekt „kompTEAM“), the Foreigners' Registration Office of Weimar (Projekt „Willkommensbehörde“) and the University of Music „Franz Liszt“ Weimar. As of January 2021, admINT changed from project status to programme status and is now permanently funded by the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar and is carried on by the units responsible for the repective support measures.

The Bauhaus-Universität Weimar already offers a comprehensive range of support measures for its international students (who make up more than 23% of the student body). However, creating a culture of openness can only be accomplished to a limited extent through meeting programs and integration measures; rather, it is essentially supported by an internal attitude of the employees.
The administration is of particular importance for the satisfaction of the students and their academic success. Academic staff alone cannot guarantee comprehensive support. As a logical step in the internationalisation process of the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar, the admINT project is explicitly aimed at administrative personnel. The training and support of staff will establish an international atmosphere of appreciation for all members of the university and, in particular, further improvement of the fundamental conditions for international students.
