| Please contact your examination office to find out whether you are allowed to take a leave of absence for your study abroad; the decision depends on the study plan of your degree programme. If you are not granted leave of absence, you must pay the semester fee in due time. |
Refund of semester ticket
Regardless of whether you are on leave of absence or not, you can always have the fees for your semester ticket refunded. The refund is only possible if the VMT ticket is validated on the Thoska; you must do this before the start of your stay abroad.
Please follow these steps:
- after you have received your "Letter of Nomination" from us, please make an appointment with the Office of Student and Academic Affairs (studium[at]uni-weimar.de) to have your Thoska de-validated (Attention! From this point on, the Thoska can no longer be used as a VMT ticket.)
- You can then take your "Letter of Nomination" and the de-validated Thoska to the INFOtake of the Studierendenwerk to have the costs for the semester ticket refunded.
Refund of semester contribution
Students on leave of absence can apply for a refund of the semester fee at the Department of Academic Affairs.
