Students from Bauhaus-Universität Weimar exhibit at the Frühlingsrundgang of the Baumwollspinnerei Leipzig
After four years, the student-organised »marke.6« is returning to Leipzig: as part of the Frühlingsrundgang of the Baumwollspinnerei, it will be presenting eight different artistic positions from the Faculty of Art and Design in the boesner project room for two days in the exhibition », dass du« (», that you«).
From Saturday, 29 April, to Sunday, 30 April 2023, the student initiative »marke.6« will show visitors a wide variety of works by Weimar art and design students. Among the works on display are light and spatial installations, artistic photography, textile works such as carpets and costumes, as well as mixed media works.
With the exhibition, the curators, Helena Boldt, Shirin Dhear and Sahrah Feyerabend, not only put the artists' works into dialogue with each other, but also integrate them into the discourse of the art works being exhibited at the Frühlingsrundgang of the Baumwollspinnerei. »We also try to take up the principle of conversation in our title », that you«,« the students explain. »We were inspired by conversations and arguments that take place in the spaces in between, such as over the shoulder while washing hands, after lunch or while quickly throwing on a jacket. We are all about conversations in the exhibition that are long enough to create subordinate clauses that (can) be connected with », that you«.«
There will be works from the Fine Art, Media Art and Design, Visual Communication and Ph.D. degree programme in Art and Design.

About »marke.6«:
marke.6 is an initiative of students at Bauhaus-Universität Weimar. It is a forum of the university for contemporary art in and outside Weimar, without being bound to a physical space and guesting in various premises. The marke.6 forms a platform to stimulate discourse, promote potential and advance experimentation.
