master's thesis receives Schöck Innovation Award Digital
Jan Lünig awarded the Schöck Innovation Prize digital for his Master’s thesis.
Jan Lünig has received the Schöck Construction Innovation Award for his master's thesis. The prize has been awarded since 2001 and honours outstanding theses in the field of constructive engineering. This year, in addition to constructive Master's theses, work on the topic of digitisation was awarded for the first time. The prize was awarded in Baden-Baden.
The topic of the master's thesis was "Extension of the ontology for quality assurance during construction (OCQA) to include quality-related costs and quality risks" and was supervised by Sebastian Seiß M.Sc. and Prof. Dr.-Ing. Jürgen Melzner.

Über den Wettbewerb
Seit 2001 zeichnet die Firma Schöck Abschlussarbeiten im Bauwesen mit innovativem Charakter aus. Erstmalig wurde diesjährig neben konstruktiven Arbeiten auch eine Masterarbeit zum Thema Digitalisierung ausgezeichnet. Die neue Sparte Digitalisierung berücksichtigt die Themen BIM, Virtual Reality, Robotik, Automatisierung bis zur digitalen Prozessverbesserung.
Insgesamt fünf Absolvent*innen renommierter Hochschulen durften sich 2023 über den Preis der Eberhard-Schöck-Stiftung freuen. Die Verleihung fand am Stammsitz der Firma Schöck in Baden-Baden statt.
