Project description

PORT magazine is an annual publication that represents the projects created by students from all degree programmes at the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar. Each issue is newly conceived and designed by a team of several people. The title of PORT 2024 is "Clone Issue". Swimming in the flow of information and inspiration, we enter the ring with the myth of the original. In just a few seconds, programmes calculate content that previously required extensive mental processes. Fed with references from the past, algorithms determine the direction of flow and accelerate the flood of images of the future. What significance does the real still have? What happens between idea and inspiration, original and clone? How much of a bygone avant-garde flows into cyberspace?
