Teaching and Learning Day

Night of Writing

On 13 June, the Long Night invites students, doctoral candidates, staff and anyone else interested in writing to talk to experts about sustainability in everyday writing and to get inspiration for their own writing projects.

Science Day 2014 - denkmal

On 19 November 2014, the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar welcomed interested employees, students and guests to another Science Day. The event that started at 2 pm in the Oberlichtssal in the Main Building gave visitors the opportunity to learn about current research projects at the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar.

International Welcome Days

The International Welcome took place from 1 to 14 October 2014 as part of the Student Orientation Week. In the Welcome.Lounge in the Campus.Office tutors and staff helped all of the new international students figure out the formalities and organizational issues that they face after their arrival in Weimar.

Research in Europa

In cooperation with the European Liaison Office of the German Research Organisations (KoWi) the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar played host to various funding organisations on 25 September 2014. The purpose of the event was to provide a concise overview of the current funding opportunities in research at the national, European and international level.

In 2013, the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar is celebrating one of its most influential minds—Henry van de Velde. The Bauhaus-Universität Weimar, in partnership with the organisation Impulsregion Erfurt Weimar Jena, is honouring the Belgian architect and designer’s considerable oeuvre on the occasion of his 150^th birthday.

Tag im Land der Ideen 2010

Als ein »Ort im Land der Ideen« hatte die Bauhaus-Universität Weimar am 3. Juni 2010 zum Kunst- und Wissenschaftstag »Energie.Experiment.Erlebniss« eingeladen. Die Besucher konnten an 12 visionären Stationen zukunftsfähige Konzepte und klimaschonende Ideen aus Forschung, Wissenschaft und Gestaltung erforschen und erleben.

Vier Tage lang öffnete die Bauhaus-Universität Weimar wieder ihre Tore und lud zur alljährlichen Jahresschau, der summaery 2010 ein. Zu sehen und zu erleben gab es insgesamt 170 studentische Projekte an 35 Orten auf dem Campus, im Stadtraum Weimar und erstmalig auch in Jena und Erfurt.
