summaery2012 – Fascinating Bridges
Bridges connect cultures, ideas and achievements. Without bridges, life would be harder, and travelling more arduous. No wonder that bridge construction is one of the core disciplines of Civil Engineering and ideally exemplifies the art of engineering. Yet bridges are not only structures – they can be ideas, pictures, photos, films, music – bridges are common interests, and bridges are all around us. That’s why the Faculty of Engineering has decided to make "Building Bridges" the motto of this year's summaery2012. The Bauhaus-Universität Weimar cordially invites students, staff and the public to marvel at a wide variety of bridges from 12 to 15 July 2012.
