BAUHAUS ESSENTIALS AND THE GRAFE CREATIVE PRIZE 

For the fifth year running, the university gallery “marke.6” invites students from all the departments at the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar to register their works for consideration for the Bauhaus Essentials and the GRAFE Creative Prize. 

Bauhaus Essentials

Bauhaus Essentials is an exhibition format organised by “marke.6” which features particularly exceptional student works in all faculties and presents them together in one exhibition. For the past five years, the event has garnered widespread regional and national attention, and will take place this year from October to December.

GRAFE Creative Prize

The university gallery will also be awarding the GRAFE Creative Prize to outstanding, artistic works in the areas of art, media art and design. The GRAFE Creative Prize offers participants the rare opportunity to present their works at the POSITIONS BERLIN Fair from 18 to 21 September 2014 and form initial contacts to the art market. 

An independent jury of experts from the fields of architecture, art, design and media art will select the winning pieces on a tour of the summaery 2014 on Friday and Saturday. The award ceremony will be held at the Bauhaus.Atelier on Sunday, 13 July at 1 pm. 

This year’s jury is comprised of the following experts:

Requirements for participation:

All projects in all degree programmes and departments are eligible for participation in the competition. Students can apply by registering their projects in advance. Please include an exposé of your project and contact information with your registration.

The registration deadline is 1 July 2014. 

Please note: The jury tours of the summaery 2014 will also take place outside regular opening hours. A jury tour schedule will be posted in advance. We ask all participants to ensure that they can be reached by phone during the summaery 2014 and to present a short introduction for the jury on location.

Therefore, if you are planning a temporary project, event or performance, we kindly ask you to notify us in advance regarding the place and time.
