Bauhaus-Universität Weimar welcomes more than 800 new students
Shortly before the official start of the ceremony, the university library was filled with the new students accompanied by their parents, friends and relatives. Hundreds followed the Invitation by President Prof. Dr. Winfried Speitkamp to the Matriculation Ceremony on Wednesday, October 11, 2017, in the Audimax.
Not only the new students, but also representatives, graduates and employees of the university as well as alumni and guests joined the ceremony. Even Mayor Stefan Wolf has taken the opportunity to welcome the new citizens in town.
After the official part of the event, many guests got together for a glass of champagne and music in the foyer. Especially the new students took the opportunity to establish initial contacts with fellow students and lecturers.
