Project description

As you know, or experienced, there are ongoing racist and discriminatory encounters against Black, Indigenous and People of Colour and LGBTQIA people in the city of Weimar and at the Bauhaus-University.
We will not remain silent and will join forces. The Bauhaus-University needs to make a stand and actively address the problems within its structures. It also needs to collaborate with other institutions in the city to work on a safe environment for their students in the city of Weimar.

To remind the university of its responsibility we will meet for a demonstration on thursday, 15h of July starting at 7 pm.
There will be speeches held but also an open mic for people from the BIPoC and LGBTQIA community.
Not only could it be a demo, but also us showing solidarity, caring for each other, while intervening critically.

We also cordially invite the 1065 integrants of Bauhaus-University who co-signed the open letter "Mut, Neugier, Zuversicht/Courage, Curiosity, Confidence" which was published in 2020 as a public commitment to an open society by Bauhaus-University, to continuously commit publicly and actively to their promise!

According to the current measures, 25 people will be allowed to gather with a distance of at least 1.5m and FFP2-masks. You could participate, manifest and listen from afar with enough distance and FFP2-masks, too.
