Project description
Crosswalks, also known colloquially as zebra crossings, are infrastructure elements that are used almost everywhere in the world to enable pedestrians to cross the roadway safely. But are crosswalks really safe? Julius Uhlmann from the Chair of Transportation System Planning is investigating this question in the research project EuroS@P and his dissertation "European Zebra". As part of a mini-workshop, visitors to the Summaery will get the chance to act as zebra detectives for once: Is the crosswalk in front of the M18 really safe?
