Project description

Sound art as an intervention in public space.
Students of the Bauhaus.Module course "Do we hear?" have been working on raising awareness and the practice of collective (listening) in the environment. Urban space plays a decisive role in this. How do we perceive urban-space sound? What memories arise from listening with a focus on various things of our urban or non-urban everyday life and how can we transport them back into the here and now through sounds? With the help of Soletti, the course will present different sound works and performances that have been created in relation with the practice of listening together in urban space.

***Soletti*** is a mobile 8.1-channel listening station powered by solar energy. Experimental radio plays, performative readings, site-specific sound installations, as well as other auditory and immersive experiments can be made possible through mobile use at any location.
